MULTI-FUEL FURNACE

Overview

The Flex 400 Multi-Fuel Furnace is your smart heating solution for greenhouses, poultry houses, livestock enclosures, industrial buildings and any other application that requires consistent, dry heat.

The Flex 400 consists of a proprietary heat exchange system, coupled to a proven fuel and air delivery unit that provides a heat source that will burn  qualified coal (such as our coal briquettes) or a variety of biomass pellets.

The Flex 400 is thermostatically controlled and when burning at full capacity will provide approximately 400,000 Btu's. If heating demand is reduced, the control will set the furnace into idle mode where it will maintain a small pilot fire until more heat is needed.

The fuel hopper is easily accessible and can either be filled manually, or an electronic fill switch can be used to fill it from a bin.

Controls to adjust fuel feed rate, air flow, and the idle timer are all located in an easily accessible enclosure located next to the fuel hopper.

The Flex 400 can be installed in a building or next to a building in a small enclosure. It is recommended to use a small, flexible air duct to supply combustion air to the burner - thereby enabling it to work well in a negative air pressure environment.

The triple pass heat exchange system is designed to extract the maximum heat from the fuel to save you the most money.
